Walked into TMobile location to ask for a small change on my account. Given recent miserable experiences with them, I assumed the worst, and planned on heading to Verizon afterward to switch providers. I walked out of there with more services than I started with, paying less than I started with. No shilling for TMobile — just saying that Stephanie B at 15th&H was awesome.

Welcome to another day in the D.O.C.
Nine people dead, 12 serious injuries, 50 minor, on a subway crash. Two people shot overnight.
Beautiful weather. Bright, deep blue skies.
Movie preview last night at E Street, whose biggest laugh involved an Angel dying.
Krispy Kreme is calling my name. I surely must go.
Women in outfits that consist primarily of black leather cargo nets. Men in corsets and dog collars. A lady next to me — with blue and white bobbed hair — wearing a corset over top of a tiny, ripped t-shirt, and black fishnet stockings.
Discussions about internet access in churches, and usability in websites. Global warming came up as a discussion in there somewhere.
And rum. And coke. And more rum. And more coke. and… well… now Doritos and cold pizza.
Walked past the Chinatown subway exit on my way to a store on the same block. Went in, found what I wanted right away. I paid and left. Walked back towards the metro.
People were crowded around. But there was a guy playing Caribbean music, so i just figured he was popular. Saw bright red KoolAid spilled on the ground near the exit. Then I noticed the guy slouched in the corner, with his hands over the side of his face. And there’s a cop standing over him.
And maybe that wasn’t KoolAid. And judging from the spray, and the fact he was holding the side of his face, I’m guessing that wasn’t a bloody nose. Must have gotten slashed.
And the steel drummer played on.
