loss
Today, I'm wondering if the hardest part of losing someone is that you keep having things you want to share with that person.
...and when we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard nor welcomed; but when we are silent we are still afraid. So it is better to speak remembering we were never meant to survive. –Audre Lorde
I live in Washington, DC with 1 cat named Pixel, 6 cameras, 3 computers, 158 movies, 286 books, and 1 bowling pin. I own the Design Foundry and pretend to be a graphic designer by day.

sigh. Yes. I have heard this and experienced it too. You want to pick up the phone and call when you see something that reminds you of them and then you realize you can't. It's heartbreaking.
One of my friends says that she tries to envision moments like these as a way for her loved one to say hello. She said she was in the produce aisle and almost broke down by the eggplant, as her and her mom made eggplant together. It helps for her to let the eggplant be a small symbol of her mom living on, in a way. I haven't tried this yet but whatever brings comfort is worthwhile.
